lt1 waterpump differences??

I bought a new waterpump fro my camaro a while back, i just found out that its apparently for a corvette lt1. The part numbers are only a few different and the only noticable difference is one of the extensions on the top is curved differntly, which wouldnt appear to be a problem, but one of the extensions on the bottom right is not even there? I was wondering if anyone knows what the difference between the 95 camaro waterpump and the vette one, and if i can use the new vette one i have on the ol' Z?

"The upper heater hose pipe points at a different angle and it does not have the bypass/oil cooler pipe."

Thanks Rich, thats some of the info. i was lookin for! Now can anyone tell me why the oil cooler pipe was on the camaro wp, and not the vettes? ANd also since i have the vette one if it is directly applicable to my camaro, or does it have to be specific? Thanks again for responses.

Because there's no oil cooler to connect it to...

If you have no oil cooler to connect, you can use the non-f-body pumps. But, the heater hose pipes might give you some problems. You would also have to cap off the port on the radiator where the oil cooler bypass hose would go.

If you want to keep headaches at a minimum, use an f-body pump.
