LT1 vs LT4

LT1 vs LT4

All else being the same, is there any advantage to run a LT4 over a LT1? I know that the LT4 is a raised runner version of the LT1, but is it enough to be an advantage?

There is repeated discussion of differrences and benefits of the LT1 vs. LT4 on "LT1 Tech". There's a link to a site that details the differences that is posted almost weekly.
