lt1 upgrades
hey..this is my 1st post on this forum!
anyway..ive had my '95 z for a few years. mostly got bolt ons.. it runs 13.7s all day. i have been looking at beefin up the power. thinkin around 400hp. i've never really done heavy engine work, mostly ur average easy stuff.
can anyone give me some good setups??? would i have beef up the tranny (a-4) as well?? mod the computer???
ive been lookin at complete engine kits as well.
lookin to spend around $3k (courtest of good old visa)

For less than 3 grand, you can get a heads/cam package of your choice and with some exhaust and some LTs you will be at 400hp easy. The tranny would then need to be beefed up a little with a stall converter, not sure what stall speed you should get, ask them at that website and they'll hook you up. Then a new rear end would be in order, a 12 bolt is usually the cure. All of that would be WAY over 3K, but the heads/cam wouldnt be.
