Well the tuned computer comes tomorrow and im by myself today and my car wont stay running at all i assume you have to check it when the car is running ill reasearch some more. Thanks

 

Okay so i tried to reset the iac with no luck. It has a hard time starting but when it does it idles around 1500 for about 10 seconds and then the check engine light comes on and it dies what could this be?

edit: i think it must be vats I guess ill be patient for computer to get here. dang

 

what code is it throwing?

 

if it were vats it wouldn't run. assuming you are using the cars original starter signal wire it will turn the car over. if the vats were the problem you wouldn't be getting fuel and spark.

wow I never realized how much more room you have around the firewall and back of the engine compared to a 4th gen! clean lookin car, GL getting it running! I have a similair problem after cammin mine

 

my car will not idle either but its cause its not tuned yet. but my cam is a 245/253 @ .050 yet i didn't see it written that the OP had swapped cams. its just a bolt on car? i have had failry large cam in a stock bottom end car that ran and idled fine on a stock tune. need to get a scanner from someone so we can see what the code is all about.

 

The computer comes today so hopefully i can get it running good enough and take it to autozone to grab the code and ill post up what it is when i know. Hopefully it wont be there with a tune. And it has the original cam im pretty sure.

 

Im jealous of all the room you have in that engine bay. Nice looking ride.

 

They are a blast to drive I have the same setup but with the cc503 and a 2800 stall.
