LT1 scanmaster hookup ?

My car came with my lt1 scanmaster already hooked up..a while back, after driving on a rough road, it stopped working...the wires were loose, you could tell how it would turn on and off over bumps. Mine is located on the left dash..and im wondering how is this thing hooked up....does it go down to behind the fuse panal ont he left of the dash..does it go thru the firewall to the computer?

Thanks guys...id just like to know where to look before taking apart my car.

I can't answer your question but thought maybe this link may be able to help you out:

www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/scanmaster.htm

It's an install link, but it may help shed some light on your question.

They are generally hooked into the port under your dash on the drivers side. The only hookup with 3 wires, a ignition, a ground, and one that goes into the port to gather data.

One wire goes to a +12V power source, preferably (but not necessarily) "switched" with the ignition. One wire goes to a good ground... any screw under the dash into the sheet metal. The third wire is the data wire and connects to the tan wire in the ALDL connector near your right knee.

Wiring instructions are in my online "ScanMaster" writeup:
