im getting a lt1 on friday and im wanting to modify it before i put it in my 91 z-28. i was wondering if i have to change any internals to put 1.6:1 roller rockers in it. also if anyone reading this has ever done the swap into a 3rd gen, does anyone have the template for where i have to cut the crossmember so i can keep the a/c. thanks

 

i would upgrade valve springs to atleast lt4's before i did the 1.6 rr swap

 

agreed...you can find them cheap in the FS section since they're not good for much else besides a simple rocker upgrade. also, if you get non self-alligning rockers you'll need to put guideplates and hardened pushrods as well.

 

thanks, i wasnt sure what springs to use with the rockers. and i think mine are self aligning. so the engine internals are already set up for roller rockers? thats my main concern.
