LT1 reliability??

Im selling my 88 very soon and Im looking for a lt1/t56 combo. Milage ranging from 70-80k I hope. Are these cars pretty reliable if maintained well? I can do all the work myself including a rebuild if i have to BUT I dont want to. With small mods like exhaust how reliable would a lt1 be?

I agree, I have 135k on my 94 and aside from some oil seepage I have not had any major probs. Well the tranny went but I race it alot, and the tranny did not go until about 134k. I still have stock waterpump, stock opti, stock alternator and the engine has never had a valve cover off it.
I can,t complain.

I havent had to good of luck with my camaro. Many many things have broken. Everything has went once.

I have found a few z28s for 3500$. Once has 80k. Im looking into that one.

I have found a couple cheap with 140k but that kinda scares me.
