LT1 "refresh process",..

have a LT1 1994-95 long block that had about 600 miles on it before being removed and has either been sitting on shop floor or used as accesory demonstrator on engine stand for about two or three years and was thinking of installing in new project- Any advice on what the "refresh process" should consist of,..for example, is it okay to employ some type of oil-treatment or should I just consider haveing the long block "hot-tanked" by a competent machine shop at some additional effort and expense, or what ??-TIA

Take it to a machine shop when you're ready to assemble it. They should hot tank it, and hone it, if need be. Check the cylinder walls. How do they look?
