LT1 Rebuild

Anyone ever do a stock rebuild on their LT1?

When my motor needs it I want to rebuild it, maybe even an overbore.

What are your experiences with price?

Re: LT1 Rebuild

Depends on the quality of work you are looking for. You could find a low mileage complete engine and just drop it in there for cheap ($800). If you wanted to get yours rebuilt you could probably get a good quality rebuild for around $1200 IMO. Of course there are cheaper and also more expensive, just depends on what you want done.

Re: LT1 Rebuild

How much to put in an engine if I buy a complete replacement?

I paid $1800 to put a $4000 engine in a Honda. That was a big waste to run mid 14's lol
