lt1 question

I got a lt1 that im building back up but i got it out of a carprice and putting it into my 96 camaro is there anything that I need to change other then the basics like trans and rear diff? also im having trouble remembering where all the intake manfold bolts go i know where the alternator botl goes but other than that does it matter? also is there a big diff in horspower and if yes what i need to change in it to get more out of it cams? heads?

Are you sure the Caprice engine is an LT1 and not a 265ci L99?

If it is an LT1 from a Caprice, it will have iron heads, lower compression ratio and a different cam. The iron heads actually flow better than the LT1 aluminum heads. The engine has a lower HP rating, but its got nice low end torque.
