Question LT1 Professional Products Ballancer issue

Ive got a 95 Lt1 383 Stroker and ive just fired it up for the first time, everything is running smooth but the balancer/pulley assembly at idle seams to have a slight wobble in it, as soon as you bring it off idle it looks as true as can be, ive also ran it with the pulley removed from the hub and the hub appears to run true, just sort of strange considering its a bran new balanced piece and the fact that the slight wobble goes away off idle. has anyone ever seen this before?

if it looks like it has a wobble, it probably does. possibly a bad balancer, get what you pay for these days. a machine shop can check the balance for you and they will pick up a wobble if there is one.

No problem Javier97Z28, thats what i figured its just so strange that it straitens out off idle, and its not that it appears to straiten out because its spinning at a higher Rpm, is it possible that the lumpiness of the new cam and the shaking of the engine is causing this? or do you think i should just put the stock one back on for the time being?

I had some problems like that also when i first fired my car up.

1. Is the engine balanced properly. My setup is a 383 Eagle that was balanced internally and I never had the 6 speed flywheel weight machined off. I removed the weight from the flywheel.

2. I used a LT4 ED timing chain and noticed the lower crank sprocket was machined incorrectly. I ordered a new sprocket from thunderracing and that fixed the problem.

After being cheap and shredding several belts, I put my old balancer on. No more shredded belts.
That balancer should have come with different shims to use for various years and cars (f or b body).
No more "Made in China" stuff, EVER.

i, don't believe that the shimming is the issue, its not throwing belts off or anything and the belt alignment seams fine just that it has a slight wobble only at idle

Jeg's makes their own brand of LTX dampers, which are SFI 18.1 rated and excellent quality. Also, an underdirve damper available.
