lt1 problems. Help!!!

My friend has a 94 z28, w/ cai. His car has been having a few problems. The car seems to drive pretty good till it reaches around 200 degrees, then it bogs alot. when you get onto the throttle, or you are going up a hill, it misses, and sometimes backfires through the intake. But when we rev it in neutral or park, the car has no missfire whatsoever. The car heats to aroung 240-250 degrees before the fans come on. sometimes, when idling in drive, the rpms stick to around 1400 as if the throttle was sticking. Also when going wot, the tranny wont shift out of first gear, unless the car is cooled down. he just got this car, and has had this problem for almost a week. It only has 58k miles. Anyone have an idea about whats going on here? thanks for the help.

If you could get access to a scanner that would almost solve it for sure. It could be O2 sensors, icm or something that become active only after it goes into closed loop or when it get warm will cause running issues. Check for codes to start.
