I built mine for about $2200 when it was said and done. That was new crank, Forged pistons, metric Lt1 Rings, New timing chain, all bearings, new oil pump, new cam (220/230 at .050 .535 lift at 112 lsa), heads ported and polished intake to match, gaskets, everything in the valve train new, Hooker headers, BBK 58mm TB, Crane Fireball ignition, 8.8mm accel wires, Vortec elbow to TB, new opti.
My dyno #s 302.3 RWHP 5400Rpm 327.7 RWT at 4000 Rpms
I'm running stock program and stock fuel pump and stock injectors
that number is kinda low though , but that is a good preparation for n2o. i bet if you tune it right you can hit 350 RWHP. btw, how long and how much did you spend for tools??

i dont really understand the diff. between bottom end and top end of an engine, somebody please explain....??

i already has edelbrock headers, SLP CAI, taylor wires, and all other bolt ons.....i already got the n2o in my car, i'm running currently 75 wet shots, will go 100 shot pretty soon. i have a walbro 255 inline fuel pump ready to install.

please tell me what your #'s are after the tuning....thanks for all the info

I really did not have to worry about tools. My DAD built several SB 350 and had everyting I needed to do the job. So I really do not know how much tools cost. I never thought to add that into the price.

Top end usually consists of the- Heads, Springs, Locks, Retainers, Lifters, Pushrods, Rockers, etc.

Bottom end usually consists of the shortblock and internals- Pistons, Rods, Crank, etc.

ahhhh, thanks a lot man.

in that case. $3500 is all i need to get a forged bottom end engine, and most everything that i need from the LT4 hotcam kit.

-just need to figure out how to save up that much money
