Here's a thread referencing several LT4 Hot-Cam dyno graphs: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=104256

Try Combination Motorsports. They have a cam kit that isn't much more than a Hotcam kit and you get a choice of cams. Heard nothing but great words about them.

360-375 SAE sounds way more doable, keep in mind almost all 400+ RWHP folks are running a blower, turbo, nitrous, or a 230+ duration cam, not a low lift 218/228.

To get 400+ RW with a 'warmcam' would be one monsterous set of heads.

The difference between STD and SAE is 8-10º I forget off hand, so it is a difference, most people use SAE for whatever reason.

If you're not concerned about emmissions, then combo motorsports can put together a cam set up for ya. Remember, we A4 guys get the shaft over the M6's. Get a bigger cam(230/236)~500-600 dollars with rockers and all and get your heads ported by lloyd elliot, and with some LT's, a true dual (X PIPE), and a dynotune you'd be around where you want to be. And would be in budget if you could do the work or get someone to do the work for you. But then again, you'd probably want a bigger TB, injectors, beefer tranny(saw HD in sig now!), a stall(didn't read your sig, so sorry if you've got it), some good gaskets, some coated LT's(didn't read sig), and maybe a 12 bolt if the rear goes out. I'm doing very similar to my car. I wanted to spend around ~2500...no can do. Just do mods that will get you ready for the big ones...save money as you go...and then crank the mods out!!

the thing is, i want a decent amount of power running NA, and a strong engine that can handle 200 shot of nitrous.

Well, I will say be very careful using a 200 shot on a stock bottom end. I haven't heard of too many people running that much with any success. Someone will probably chime in on this with more information.

400rwhp from heads and a hotcam? I will be happy to hit 350 at the wheels with my CC305 once I get my heads done. And a 200 shot on top of this? You are nuts LOL. Plan to spend way more than $2500 if you're goal is 600rwhp.

No way you're getting 400rwhp with the HOTcam. 400+flywheel is very doable though. I'm hitting that with homeported heads from what I can tell(flywheel).

If you plan to rebuild the engine yourself than you can build a Lt1 with the Hot Cam and all the extras very easy. That is not including the NO2. I built mine for about $2200 when it was said and done. That was new crank, Forged pistons, metric Lt1 Rings, New timing chain, all bearings, new oil pump, new cam (220/230 at .050 .535 lift at 112 lsa), heads ported and polished intake to match, gaskets, everything in the valve train new, Hooker headers, BBK 58mm TB, Crane Fireball ignition, 8.8mm accel wires, Vortec elbow to TB, new opti.
My dyno #s 302.3 RWHP 5400Rpm 327.7 RWT at 4000 Rpms
I'm running stock program and stock fuel pump and stock injectors

Tim those numbers seem low for ported heads and what looks to be a cc305 cam. A friend of mine hit 346rwhp/342rwtq with heads/cc305 cam/shorties. You could probably benefit from some tuning. Check out Brian at PCMforless.com

Edit: Just noticed the slipping clutch in your sig, that could be a problem too LOL

400rwhp can be achieved from a Hotcam, that is if you have $5200 to buy a set of Arao Dominion 32V heads.

since you have a auto I do not think it's possible with the hot cam.
I've had the cam for almost 4 years now and with Stock heads the best I have been able to get was 329rwhp. I did lose about 10rwhp with my Vigilante so maybe 339with stock heads.

A friend of mine with a M6 a decent set of ported LT1 heads and the hot came made right at 375rwhp. I would think that is about the max of the hot cam so with a Auto it's going to be less.

If you want to stay with the hot cam I would think you would be ok to use the stock crank, eagle 4340 Hbeams and the Summit forged rebuild kit. That would be a strong and fairly cheap rebuild. You can get those rods off Ebay any day for $350.

With a 200 shot you would be at say 560rwhp which is a lot. If you make that kind of power you will have MANY more other problems than not having the extra 40hp. Many people have sprayed more on the stock crank but you will be taking a chance using it.
Guys on here have broken cranks similar in strength with a 150 shot but others haven't it's a crap shoot.

My car with a 100 shot from a TNT kit did 430rwhp on the dyno. Thats good for solid mid 11's depending on your elevation.
You will need a trans, a rear end, tires and more.

I have no idea how good that Summit kit is or how it will hold up to a 200 shot.
