LT1 Poor Performance
Hello,
I have a 97 LT1 I recently had the valves done on the heads car was running great after I realized I had plugs 8 and 6 mixed 2 days later car has poor acceleration p0301 comes up sometimes and then changes to p0300 p1441 comes up and p1153 need help

The P301 is a miss fire in cylinder 1, the P300 is a random cylinder misfire which is usually caused by a vacuum/intake leak or EGR valve but could be other things aswell..
http://www.aa1car.com/trouble-codes/codes_399.htm
the 1153 is the O2 sensor Bank2 sensor 1 which my guess is due to the p300 code of a vacuum leak.. http://www.aa1car.com/trouble-codes/...1000-p1299.htm
the p1441 is the EVAP canister http://www.aa1car.com/trouble-codes/...1300-p1499.htm

Check the lines going to the EGR valve and the Evap canister
Let's see if it gets clearer with some punctuation....
I think you read the above the same as I did.
As noted in one response, P1153 is for the Bank 2 (passenger side) pre-cat O2 sensor. The sensor is very slow in "switching"... something it has to do to control the A/F ratio correctly. Slow switching often indicates a contaminated sensor. Its possible that running two cylinders on the passenger side with the wires swapped damaged the sensor. It should be replaced.
The odd thing is that you had a code for a misfire on cylinder #1. That would be unrelated to the problem with the passenger side of the engine. For a misfire in a single cylinder, I'd look more closely at the specifics of that cylinder - plug wire burned or damaged, not on tight, plug damaged, cracked or loose. While vacuum leaks and EGR leaks can cause misfires, they will generally affect the entire engine, not a single cylinder. I realize you have a mixed bag because the P0300 is also appearing. P0300 could be caused by the problems with the Bank 2 pre-cat O2 sensor. Replace the sensor and see if the random misfire disappears.
P1441 as noted above indicates you have vacuum in the purge line from the charcoal canister in the driver's rear fender, when the EVAP purge solenoid is supposed to be closed. The solenoid may be stuck open, may have some carbon particles jamming it. Open the solenoid with 12V and blow it out with compressed air. Look for carbon particles in the solenoid and in the line from the canister. That may indicate the charcoal in the canister is breaking down and entering the purge system.
Hello,
I have a 97 LT1. I recently had the valves done on the heads. Car was running great after I realized I had plugs 8 and 6 mixed. (I corrected that problem). 2 days later car has poor acceleration. P0301 comes up sometimes and then changes to P0300. P1441 comes up and P1153 (also).
Need help

Wow quick response,
Ok regarding the p1441 my canister is leaking causing the evap to clog. Regarding the p1153 would this code come up during open loop or only closed? Even during open loop the car still has poor performance. Sometimes for instance, today only p0301 came up p1441 and p1153 not p0300. I checked compression good, checked vaccum good. Brand new 30lb injectors, new 225L fuel pump, new acdelco fuel pressure regulator. New MSD coil, new MSD Wires, new EGR valve, new acdelco disturb and the list goes on. For the two days it was running great I had my cats off it was loud. And as I recall on the 2 day I was at a stop light and around 1300rpm I had a back fire that happens every once in a while. When the first backfire happened sound like intake backfire, my LT1 Exhaust note got very quite like I had my cats back on and then the LT1 poor performance was born. Always at low rpm it back fires doesn't feel like its misfiring. Excuse me if any miss spelling or punctuation I am not the best.
