lt1 out of 1996 9c1 caprice

ive got a 95 formula, and ive found a deal on a lt1 out of a 96 caprice, will the motor out of hte caprice, other than the iron heads, interhcange with my firebird. i know the caprice has iron heads, but i plan on rebuilding it, and using it as a spare? are the distributor drives and accessory stuff the same? pretty much, what are the differences in the motors?

The 96 will have a different front cover, different length balancer, different crank key, reluctor on the crank for the crank position sensor. You can swap all the stuff from your present engine that does match.

Those iron heads flow more than the ones from a 95 f-body, not a huge amount only about %5. My point is do not mistake them for being poor just because they are iron.

Check it out good b4 you buy that, LT1's only came in F-body's and Y-body's and Impala SS, It looks like a LT-1 but its not 5.7 liters, its like a 4.3 liter V8
the whole crank, pistons, and heads are different i think the engine code is L99
