LT1 Oil sensor(s), wiring, & oil pan conversion

Installing a F Body 1995 LT1 driveline in a streetrod. Looking at the wiring diagram the oil sending unit(s) are not wired into the fuel pump relay as with TPI engines.

Is there not a backup system to shut down the engine if no oil pressure is detected (as with TPI)?

Also, again looking at the schematic the oil level sending unit (in oil pan) is wired to the cluster and not the ECM?

If the oil pan sensor only monitors oil level and if it in not required for the ECM..I'd like to install a standard oil pain and wondering if any late model SBC pan will work.

Thanks

Correct. The f-body oil pressure sensor only goes to the gauge cluster. There is no shut down for low oil pressure. The level sensor in the pan also only goes to the gauge cluster. No interaction with the computer with either sensor.
