I got my MSD Cap and Rotor for my LT1 a few days ago. Part No. is 84811... if anyone can tell me how to post pics I will show you it.

Wow...this is something I gotta see to believe. Did you install the parts yet? If so, how is the quality and after results.

What are the benefits over a stocker?

 

I got mine brand new off ebay for $145

 

Please post a pic of the inside when/if you can..

The rotor looks a lot tougher. I had a buddy that blew up his new opti reving it up and the metal tab broke off the rotor. On the stock rotor the metal conductor is held on by a plastic rivet vs the metal one on the MSD.

 

I have a direct deal with MSD and this was free to me... lol! Been on back order for about 4 months.

 

What exactly do you have to do to install it? Is it like poping it all together, i want to get one but im not sure about how to put one on. Ive done stock optis, but the rotor was in em.

 

Not sure if it's been posted here, but MSD is now producing complete OPTI units.

Dammit! And I just ordered a new GM one from Scoggins-Dickey. But as long as it's taken them just to get the cap & rotor out, I wonder if these complete units are actually available yet? This will render the Dynaspark Opti useless as long as they can make them the same cost or cheaper.
