hey guys
my cars making some weird noises
sounds like an exhaust leak again but i duno
i have LTs with stage 8 locking bolts, it shouldn't be leaking

did you check your collector gaskets?? When mine blew thru it kinda sounded like that. Also, I would take your car drive it on the road next to one of those concrete barriers or through a tunnel and open it up, see how it sounds then. You might be able to hear it better that way.

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me. What type of header gaskets are you using? I had copper gaskets that leaked pretty bad, I went to the paper ones that came with the headers and they are much better.

 

fresh header install?
if it is an exhaust leak, that is pretty prominent

 

yeah, sounds like its leaking.... put your hand near where all the bolts go in (do not touch the header!!!!). just place it in the general area, and see if you can feel exaust coming out.... you will be able to tell for sure.... eventually you will see carbon build up where its leaking too...

 

the header job was done awhile ago but it leaked
i had the gaskets replaced and the stage 8 bolts installed
when that was done the car sounded great
just lately it has sounded like this
its been atleast 3months of no leaking, until about a week ago

 

did you use crappy paper gaskets? If so, they might have burned away....try to re-tighten the bolts too.... the heat and stuff causes them to loosen up and stuff after awhile.... did you tighten them on correctly too?
