Exclamation LT1 MAF Sensor..GO or NO!?!?!?!

I'm considering a new MAF sensor, but I'm not sure which one I want. I hear the Granatelli LT1 MAF Sensor is the best one with the possibility of 15 RWH. But as all bolt-on promise "15 Horse " I find that mostly it's 1 to 3.... I guess I was just currious if anyone had noticed a difference with the Granatelli or any other MAF....
Thanks Guys!!

Save our money. I actually lost power with the GMS MAF. The stock MAF on LT1's is just fine.

"up to 15 hp increase"... means if you make 1 hp they still meet their claim for $300 i think you could find a better mod.

Forget about Granatelli. I won't even go into details...

Go with a stock one and try to resist the temptation of porting it.

The Granatelli on a stock motor gives you very little. Cam, heads, headers & a larger throttle body will show a definite gain with a Granatelli.

No, it's not running a little leaner -- that's just in your head. It's running a little crappier now, but hey, at least you noticed that increase in "throttle response"...
Just kidding man. I really don't understand why oh why are people messing with their MAFs...

Trey said it perfectly!
Some questionally mods i would include are the Pullies ( unless u have no other bolt on left to do), but i'd do other things first. The majority of the people that ask about them though, dont have much done to there cars in the first place.

who knows?....actually the engine running leaner from it came from a tech forum, several said the same but I agree with you to a point, I think it does very little ...shrugs. My car is not running crappy at all in fact the throttle response is just aobut the same. It runs great

can some one explain this to me a little more in detail?
I installed mine when I just had a 58mm TB, Crane GS RR's, underdrive pulley. I notice a huge differance in throttle response and performance when I installed mine. I mean its ported bigger for more air flow plus the fact its way lighter than the factory maf. Just want some clarification on this as to why there are no power gains with this.

I will be extensively testing my Gran unit vs. my stock unit this year on my stroker to see if there is a difference.

My money is that with my combo the Gran unit will help me.

I am .1 faster at the track with a ported MAF. If you guys want me to take both to the track this weekend and run them on the same night I'll do it and post the times. I almost forgot. I'm a pretty consistant 13.5 @101.

Never mind, got my question answered, its kinda like how much air does you engine need, kinda like a bigger TB, it doesn't really matter how many CFM it flows, it is only going to use so much of that air.

So all in all, it is a waste of money
the stock maf is fine.
