LT1 MAF eliminator kit???
LT1 MAF eliminator kit???
Heard about a MAF eliminator kit and wondering if anyone has one or knows about it or who makes it? Looking at possiblity of eliminating the MAF on our turbo kits and adding tuneability at the same time for those who want to boost more.
Thanks for your input, Rick @ STS

Only two ways to properly eliminate the MAF, repgrogram the PCM to run speed density or run an aftermarket system. The MAF is generally better suited for forced induction, especially for turbos.
If you have the ability to reprogram the PCM it's just a simple switch. I'm not sure how well the VE tables are tuned for a stock car but if you're running more extensive mods it can be a lot of tuning work to dial it in
I don't quite understand what you want to accomplish by removing the MAF? The only reason I'm not running mine is because I'm too cheap to replace the hacked up one that was on it.
