Alright already. I know he was being a smatazz. As was I with my reply. I did a search and read alot. Sorry I asked. Sorry I'm new on here. I believe I am going to go with the LE2 setup.
Re: LT1 To LT4, worth it?
I wonder how many lt4 topends out their there would be if we actually endorsed the idea. That settles it, Im going to help GM out and tell everyone to get one. (yeah I know there are better options, but the best way to learn about life is the hard way, woe to the next sucka who asks this).

Re: LT1 To LT4, worth it?
I have the LT4 conversion and The only reason I have it is because I got it for 1300 bucks. Would I pay the full amount? Never. I also had the heads ported as well as the intake because the intakes runners are puny when you get the intake new. I also added 30 svo injectors and a 52mm throttle body. Headers and all that other stuff that adds up quick. For someone to just buy the LT4 conversion and just bolt it on without any other mods or port work would be a serious waste of money and time. Like others have said on here. spend the money wiser and get better parts for less money then the LT4 kit.

Not true. I go out of my way to help people when I can. It's just when the same question is asked eleventy billion(see above posts) times in the past few weeks, it gets pretty repetitive.

this has been posted alot....general consensus is getting a much cheaper heads and cam package(like llyold elliot) will yield you way more power and be gentler on your pocketbook.
Re: LT1 To LT4, worth it?
hey i was thinking lt4 for a while, but now im thinking bigger and better... i got the general consensus that LT4 was a bad bang for the buck, so i plan to get a whole forged engine putting down about 500 tq and 480 hp...(flywheel)
now while chad recomends over at golenengines a 200 shot of N20 I am uncertain if i'll use that...
but after lyoid elliot recomended i get a crate motor from Golenengines i have started to save even more money

Re: LT1 To LT4, worth it?
It's all about what you want. The lt1 has small intake runners, to make for more torque. All in all though, I believe the lt4 flows about 20cfm more, which would equate to a maximum NA horsepower potential of 40hp more (using the estimation of 2hp per cfm). However, like I said, the torque will be higher, which would keep the track times about the same. Is it worth it? Hell no. They use the same block. If you really want to, just get your heads ported slightly, port-match your intake, and you'll be set. That would cost you all of $500 maybe.
