LT1 to LT4
Re: LT1 to LT4
You' ll need the LT4 knock module, and the programming. I thought the EGR on the Vette. was a little different.
Because GM made 100 LT4's in 97 you could have Chevy reflash the PCM with the LT4 programming. It should start and run on the LT1 programming.
May be some minor plumbing but not much else.

Re: LT1 to LT4
Are you taklking about a complete engine, or only the long block?
If its a complete engine, there are a lot of things that have to be swapped from your LT1 to the LT4 - complete front accessory drive system, components and mounting brackets, fuel rails, oil pan, exhaust manifolds are the obvious ones.
You will need to delete the knock sensor on the drivers side of the 'vette block, and put the drain plug from your LT1 in there. Not sure where the 'vette located the oil pressure sensor. The sensor may be different, because the 'vette monitors both oil pressure and oil temperature.
The LT4 'vette engine does not have EGR, so you would have to swap the components from your LT1 if you want to keep the EGR.
