Lt1 ---> Lt4

ok questions...
1.) i read that it puts the engine at 330 hp but yet it puts it at 13.1 in the 1/4... how can 55 hp give u such a boost?

2.) how long would a conversion take? 20-26 hours?

3.) what all does it include... new heads, cam, valve springs, intake manafolds?

my z came with a LT4 in it when i got it (numbers on block verified that)

then we rebuilt it w/ new LT4 parts (cam, valve springs) and ported the heads, intake, TB, and did the 3angle valvejob w/ 2.02/1.65 valves, changed the stroker crank, pistons, rods, etc..

it took about 12-16 hours once we got the parts back from the machineshop

6-8hrs/day, 2 days

could have done it faster, but we double checked everything and did the work in a cleanroom

we also had the engine out of the car
with the engine in, the time could be 2x or maybe 3x as long

if you do a search youll find lots of info on this. its a very common upgrade and can yeild big power gains. minor modifications to the setup will also show good improvements. a lot of people have done this and have doen it different ways thats why i say do a search. as far as how long it takes well that depends on how you do it(in car or out) and how good you are.
