Alot of my friends talk about different engines. We discuss and agrue which engine is better of the two, a LS1 or a LT1.

I know the LS1 has more horsepower stock, but I feel the LT1 has alot of unleashed potential. What are your opinions?

 

Do we have to see this again? Do a search; this has been discussed (argued/flamed/etc.) about eleventy billion (give or take 3) times here...

 

The LS1 can make a TON more horsepower with just a few mods. The head design is killer. However, the LT1 has an iron block which can ultimately take more HP.

For the price, you can mod the LT1 way beyond the LS1 though.

He's right, if you want to win your argument check around here, there are a bazillion threads about this some of which probly go back to 97.

 

Here we go again?Obviously the LS1 is more refined and developed.otherwise GM would still be producing LT1's.They both rule the streets.

 

I agree. Chevy's rule and overall GM will rule the streets for the most part.

 

Please Let's not go there for the kabillionth time. Please do a search on the topic and spare us.

 

There was recently a decent thread about the DIFFERENCES between the LS1 and LT1 and why sometimes one was better than the other.

This doesn't seem like it is going to be very popular with the replies thus far so I'm going to close it.

Please do a search here and you'll get at least a couple of the topics recently discusses about this.
