LT1 knocking after it warms up?

LT1 knocking after it warms up?
Took in my 95 z28 .. shop owner says its a main bearing.. warms up and then starts ticking..& loses oil pressure.. 94000 miles..2nd owner w/regular maintenance.. extended warranty isnt gonna help me! Do i have to get it rebuilt? or a new engine? I dont have the shop or the time to do this! Any suggestions? Thanks, Greg

Could be the drive gear that drives the oil pump is known for failing exsp if you have a hv pump installed if you hear ticking from the topend its the low oil pressure that is causing it if you hear a rod ar main knock then its time for a rebuild ...
