LT1 kit for SLP loudmouth?

Do I still need the Lt1 kit for the SLP Loudmouth if I have long tube headers and a custom off road y-pipe? I was thinking, maybe the kit is only needed for cars with the stock y-pipe and car. Don't know?

If you mean do you need the full cat back system for the LM the answer is yes. That with a y-pipe and the LTs and you will have a full exhaust.

No, I meant the kit that is sold seperately to use the Loudmouth on a 94 LT1. http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=30045

You shouldn't need it if your y-pipe is long enough, and it will most likely be.

I forgot to add that if you don't use the kit you will have to relocate the hangers. This isn't hard to do, just cut it off and weld it were it needs to go.

You could just buy the installation kit for the 96-97 (#30044), which is just the hangers. Since you have longtubes you wont need the S-pipe that comes with kit #30045.

So, basically all I need is the hangers and not the S-pipe?

Yea, you'll need the hangers but not the S-pipe in the kit.

Yea the S piece goes between the Cat and the LM catback. I used it on my 94 firebird and everything fit like a glove. It couldn't have been easier.. I had stock manifolds and y-pipe though...

Cool... That's what I was thinking. The shop I go to usually can take care of anything, so I was thinking they could just find a way to install a loudmouth.
