OK..well im doing a turbo lt1.. and the AIR and EGR will be off of the car. what is all the clutter on the passenger side of the intake between the intake and the valve cover..some kind of sensors? I want to clean up the look and was wondering if i could take it all out. What is it for?

 

Wha? You mean the fuel injectors? Some people have put on Corvette fuel rail covers to clean up the engine.

 

i think all the evap stuff....is that stuff emissions related?

 

I think evap just collects fuel vapors into a charcoal canister and the car periodically purges the canister back into the intake. Its emission related and probably can be removed, might wait till injuneer replies though he'll probably know for sure

 

Yeah Injuneer probably has a good reason you should keep it.
Just for the record I needed the space when I put the direct port manifold on and I deleted all that Evap stuff.
Nothing bad has happened yet.

Well, except for my rear end blowing up but I am pretty sure the !evap had nothing to do with it.

 

k. I just want it to look clean in there(without having to use the vette covers)
