This may be a dumb question but does anyone know whether an LT1 intake mani. will fit on a SB 400? I know I will probably get flamed for this but I know that the SBC intake manis fit the LT1s without modification (portwise) so would this work on the SB 400?

No way an LT1 instake will fit an SBC without modification (which can be done). The bolt hole angles are different and it has no provision for coolant.
