LT1 intake

well i have the slp cold air intake but was wondering about using the ram air box with the SS hood. Also which makes more power on average and is it really worth making the switch.....buying the hood either way.

Well, GM showed a slight increase with their SS hood/bax, although it is not nearly as effective as the ram-air on the LS1 cars. I'd love to do the LS1 lid conversion on my car, but do not want to cut up my SLP SS hood.

i have read many times that the slp cold air kit is far better power wise to the ss ram air ontop of the motor due to the heat. although I did switch my 97 Z with a slp ram air and aftermarket hood. it looked nice but the filter was allways full of bugs and the like
