possible, ya probably... easy, NO! I've done it once and it about near killed me! The bottom is much much easier. If you do decide to do it any way though, you better have an empty engine bay (no radiator, ect.)

I pulled and installed an LT1+tranny in my Formula and it was a piece of cake. Took maybe two to three hours to pull out (including removing all harnesses, hoses,etc.) and maybe an hour to put back in (with help, of course
).
When you put it back in make sure the car is raised pretty high. Slide a jack under the cone of the tranny and use it to roll the tranny back so it doesn't scrub the ground.
