LT1 HP rating question?

What made the power difference in the 94-96 impalla SS (260hp), 93-95 Z (275hp), 96-97 Z (285hp) and the LT1 vettes (305hp).

Im not talking little changes like better intake or less restrictive xhaust.

Was there any changes in the heads or cam?

Thanks
Joe

Re: LT1 HP rating question?

Impy heads are made of cast iron wich flow better, but weight around 40-50 pounds more. The cam cam is similiar but its consider a bit milder, but even with a far more restrictive intake and exhaust still makes more torque than camaro cam. This is because more torque is needed to move the heavier B-cars (impys and such). The water pump is also different btu apart from that everything is preatty much the same.
