LT1 Hesitation (RPM Specific)
Bought my car about a year and a half ago. 1994 Z28 LT1. It's been running fine until recently. I was riding down a road, was raining, and ran into a HUGE puddle that I did not see. Stalled the car, let it sit for about 2 minutes and I was able to restart it. Next day, I start it up, and it runs rough between 1500-2000 RPMs. Since I'm not much of a mechanic, I brought my car to a place for diagnostics check and they quoted me 1700 dollars to fix. I basically left the place frustrated as hell. No way was I gonna pay even close to that much for running over a puddle. So now, I'm stuck with guessing what to do, I'd figure I would bring it to the experts here and see what you had to say. Anyone have similar problems? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Jack your car up at night, and pop the hood and start it up. Look under the car for the "blue" spark gremlin(s). Quite possible bad plug wire or now you have a bad wire from being soaked..My question is How deep of a puddle did you go thru to stall her
I read some other posts on hesitation and I've heard many answers. Everything from optispark to something as simple as a IAT replacement. Not sure on the depth of the puddle...but it was enough water to splash up under my hood, and create a tremendous "water to metal" sound. The interesting part, is that it worked fine the rest of the night until the next day when I started it up.
