LT1 help needed please...head issue

(95 LT1, pulling the heads for head gasket bad)
got everything out, except for:

pass side exhaust manifold...cant pull it out..all the bolts are out...its ready to fully come out, and i can move it freely, but it wont pull out.
pass side, last 2 bolts in the back, the ones that are covered by the exhaust manifold..cant get to them because of the exhaust manifold.

any tips? hints?

Drop the manifold out from the bottom. I'm pretty sure that's what I had to do when I upgraded to headers...

You should completly remove the manifold before removing the head. Is it moving freely on the head side? you removed the egr tube that connects it to the back of the intake manifold

I agree. Don't take shortcuts. Pull that intake off before attempting to dig deeper into the motor...

Re: LT1 help needed please...head issue

EGR tube on the back is usually a pain in the butt, it makes it difficult to pull the pass side mainifold out. I did get mine fron the top, but it took me a while to get it positioned just right. It might be easier form the bottom...

well, everything is removed. but to finish getting the bolts off the side of the head, i need to get the manifold out, and it wont come out from the top, but i need to find some way to get that manifold out. its totally unbolted...i just need to get it out...
