Just curious if the lt1 shared the same header flange bolt pattern as the first gen sbc?

 

Yes! But the problem is the exhaust port shape is unique to the LT1 so you are stuck with custom headers or pieces made for the F body.

 

hedman makes lt1 headers for st generation. i bought a set for a chevelle

 

I dont get it, tubular headers are tubular headers... I was more thinking of the stock exhaust manifolds, the lt1 manifolds seem to be D shaped with the flat part of the D on the bottom, I guess as long as I find something similar it wont really matter? Thanks for pointing that out!

Oh I forgot to mention this isnt going to be in an F or Y body...
