LT1 hardly burns out

When I floor my car it only burns out for like 5 feet max. Watsup? I have done a full tuneup. Im on stock tires goodyear Eagles (fairly new), but I think the fuel filter is old. Would a fuel filter cause this?

If the fuel filter is really old and clogged it can definitely hinder performance. For as little as they cost, just throw one in. Also, the A4s dont leave as spectacular of burnouts as the M6s. BTW,did you ever race that 01 Cobra yet?

No not yet, that will be this thursday! Should be exciting. I just hope im not getting NR from my new rockers. I am going to the track for the first time tommrow so ill see what I run, should be fun. This kid who will be driving the cobra weights literlly like 300 lbs and cant drive so he should be toast, unless somehow he learned to drive good but I doubt it. Ill keep you guys up to date.

I have 2.73s on my a4 and just exhaust, cai, cutout, freemods, etc. I got good geforce kdsws and i can peel out like no other. I don't do it much though, it seems very pointless to me.

Hey I know what you mean! I can sit at a dead stop and floor my 94 Z and it will not spin AT ALL! But I still ran a 8.70 in the 1/8th so I guess my power is normal. Weird....

Dont worry about that to much. Mine didnt really do it eiter, when it was stock. Granted i am at 5500 ft so im down on hp quite abit. Ive drove other ones that didnt either. My bros ls1 doesnt even spin very much. Maybe you posi is still in much better shape.

I would check it out... My car(in sig) will peel all through first and a bit of second/squeek into second.

My car would do first, and screech into second... it still chirps second with the 315's on there! I have the mods in sig though... I don't really remember stock, it wasn't stock for too long!

Re: LT1 hardly burns out

My 94Z w/ 3.23s I just got a couple months or so ago when bone stock with just stomping it from a stop would burn all the way through first and chirp hard into second. I do however have fairly cheap hard compound 245 tires, I suppose they could make it easier but still...

Re: LT1 hardly burns out

technically isn't a burnout when you hold the brake and floor it, so it forces it to stay there? I just concidered it otherwise "flooring the car". But what ever, my car spins all the way through first then grabs second like all get out.

Re: LT1 hardly burns out

Does your guys' cars sorta fishtail when you torque it up and the wheels spin? Mine fishtails enough that i think it could easily turn all the way sideways if ikeep it down. This is on dry cement with pretty decent gforce kdsw's and boxed lcas and phb. I dont burn out much, once in a great while but i always let off after a sec or two.... Does anyone else dothis? a42.73s btw
