LT1 guys opinions about LS1

Just had a thought, is there alot of room to modify a LS1 engine. Everybody says the heads flow great, so is there any room for improvement there? If the LT1 can get close to the flow potential of the LS1, can we hang with them or beat them? Are the LT4 heads a good start? Just wondering!

bolt-ons will put you close to LS1 performance, them being stock. Heads and cam on a LS1 will make from 410 to 470 to the wheels depending on how radical they went. Out of range for a heads/cam LT1. There cyc- head design is just so much better than a LT1. We run a 23 degree head while there's are 15. LS1 and LS6 heads will flow more, unless you upgrade to AFR's. I'm running AFR 210's that flow 310cfm.

You can also run more cubes out of a LS1 than a LT1. 434 or higher depending on Block applications. If I had to do it over again, Id probally go with a LS1, but I guess I could shove a 1st gen block in there with a 18 degree head and make thing even. There are just too manys ways to go, but by far a LS1 does have the advantage. Just depends on how much your willing to spend.
