The LT1 is going in this weekend. Just a few quick problems I need to resolve

Ok the 3.4L is ready to come out and the 1996 355 Lt1 is 95% ready to go in. The few concerns that I have are

1. I have read that the vent tube off the optispark goes to the intake. Where does it hook up on the intake at?

2. On the throttle body, the two lines that flow coolant didnt come with the engine so i dont know where they run to. I looked at my step bros 93 Lt1 and the one that flows coolant into the TB comes from a formed heater hose and the outlet hose goes down to a connector on the lower radiator hose. My radiator hose doesnt have this nor do I have this formed heater hose.

3. The wire loom that runs down to the starter has a black wire and a purple wire. THe purple one runs to the coil and I believe that the black one is a ground. From what i understand this black wire grounds on the spark plug holder. Hopefully someone can comfirm this.

Any help with these 3 problems will be appreciated Thanks

The vent tube for your opti connects to the intake elbow (the piece that connects to the throttlebody)

The hose configuration is different for a 93-4 than for 95-7..
Look at these, from shoebox' site...

You most likely want the 'late' configuration..
Also, if you want the TB 'bypass' take hose '5' and hook right to the 'steam pipe' [bypassing the TB]

Don't worry about running coolant through the TB if you don't want to. Most peolpe bypass it and hook the two lines into one anouther and skip going though the TB in hopes of keeping it cooler and gaining about 7hp.

If you don't have the hoses don't worry about it.

He don't have hose 5 and 6. He is swapping tit into a v-6 car and using the v-6 rad. and hoses. (Questionable on the cooling effectiveness for the v-8)

As I said, take hose 5 and connect directly to the 'steam pipe' that goes to rear of head..[ no 'connector' needed for 95-7 configuration..]
If you don't have LT1 radiator I suggest getting one[ for the 'bypass' hose etc.]
