LT1 fuel line identification question ???
LT1 fuel line identification question ???
I’m transplanting a ’96 LT1 in an old truck, and looking for some fuel system answers. Pulled a ’95 Camaro fuel tank (with pump) from a local salvage, and wanted to make sure I understand exactly which line goes where. Standing in front of the tank, looking down at the pump/sending unit assembly there are four lines exiting. Counting from to right, and starting with the far left (#1), here’s what (I think) I have…..#1 not a clue, #2 fuel pressure line (to the fuel rails)?, #3 ?, #4 fuel return line? Also, there are 3 wires coming from the unit (black, purple, and gray). How are they wired? Hoping some of you folks familiar with these components can provide some feedback to an LT1 newbie. Thanks, Jimmy Email jclarke1@ec.rr.com
Shoebox has a wiring diagram for the fuel pump on his website. Its on sheet 3 of 7 of the PCM wiring diagrams. The gray wire is the +12V power supply. Black wire is the ground. The purple wire should be the fuel level sensor.

Two of the connections on the fuel pump support assembly are for the EVAP vapor collection system/vent. It really hard to figure from the factory diagram. Again, from Shoebox:
