LT1 Engine Swap
LT1 Engine Swap
Got a few questions about this...
Does anyone know where I can find some good info on how this is done? These next two questions will probably be long shots... Does anyone know any shops in the Louisville,Ky/Lexington,Ky area who will actually do this? If none of you know any shops that can do this, would anyone be interested in being hired to do this for me?
I have a 1984 Camaro that is in decent shape as far as the body and interior go. I want to take my LT1 engine from my wrecked 1994 Camaro and drop into it. The only problem is that I am not a mechanic, so I have to find someone to do this swap for me. Thanks in advance.

Re: LT1 Engine Swap
Never thought about a blower... its a v6 2.8L out of an S-10. Would a blower still make more power than the LT1? Do you know where I can get one for a reasonable price? Ill definitely check on thirdgen.org.

Re: LT1 Engine Swap
He probably should have checked to see what kind of engine you had before mentioning the blower.
You will have way more fun with the LT1 in there than the v6 supercharged. Can't help you on shops though. I did mine myself.
