Lt1 engine on engine stand trouble question ?

Lt1 engine on engine stand trouble question ?

I bought an engine stand to keep my lt1 motor stored till i sell it or put on another car but i can't seem to line up the four arms to the back of the engine i can only seem to line up 3 can anybody help with my dumb problem ? Thanks

Are the arms adjustable? Loosen all the bolts that attach the arms to the stand.

Problems would be alot easier to solve with pics.

Hard to say whats up without seeing what your talking about.

The LT1 has the same bolt pattern as a smallblock Chevy. Think it would be hard to find a stand that wont boltup to the most commonly hotrodded motor in history.

Loosen everything, start all bolts before tightening a one.

Please post pics. Maybe the stand is a factory flaw.

thanks fellas, i listened to your advice loostened bolts on all adj arms and rotated it a couple times and bam got it done .. mybe the few beer's i drank helped too thanks again....
