lt1 drivetrain swap

im new to lt1s so please bear with me.im planning on swapping an lt1 and 700r4 or 4l60e into my 55 chevy.id like to get about 400 horsepower with 383 stroker kit, hotcam kit, intake and head porting, etc.should i look for early speed density without maf sensor or later lt1 with maf sensor?does the maf sensor impede air intake flow?also, early lt1 has ecm chip, later lt1 programmable ecm.i guess my question is,should i look for 92 93 lt1 or 94 up lt1?

well you can tune a 94+ LT1 better than the 92-93's. also the 94+ had the 4l6oe transmission which i think is okay, but a turbo 330 or 400 is better i think!!!!!

so their are pros and cons, but if it were me i'd do...

95 LT1
turbomatic 350 or 400 or well built 4L60e trans!!!!!

just because of the tunning capibilities and reapir cost on parts, the vented opti is 100$ less then the 92-94 one!!!
