LT1 crank hub has a groove worn in it..savable?

I am trying to put together a leak free LT1 and found that the hub seal has worn a groove into the hub. For gen I small block chevys there was a metal sleeve available to put over a worn balancer to "renew" the seal surface, has anyone seen this for an LT1 or do I need to buy a new hub?
Also has anyone seen just the hub seal available for sale without buying the complete timing cover set?

Yes, you can sleeve the hub. I tried it, but unfortunately for me it didn't work. I ended up buying a new hub.

Yes, you can buy just one timing cover seal. Most autoparts stores should have them.

on my original engine I used a leftover hub seal repair kit and it worked. I used the seal as well, for a regular 350

I had a bunch of leftover gaskets and stuff from 4 or 5 felpro rebuild kits.

thanks for the reply, I will look for a sleeve, I dont want to risk trashing a new seal with it. So the gen I sleeve fit? I wasnt sure if the diameter was the same, but it must be. I have some gen I seal kits around as well, never thought that the seal would be the same, but that is cool if it is.
