Ok, I am converting to a LS1 Intake and lid but it will not fit right on the core support. Is there a differnt design or mold on the core support because when you attach it to the radiator and try to mount it with the nuts there is about a 1inch gap.

Anyone know anything about this?

If Im understanding you correctly, its the stock hood that is your problem. Im almost positive that the supports are the same between the LS1 and LT1 but the stock hood(as well as fenders and bumper) is whats going to keep you from doing this. I do believe that there are a few members who run a lid with something like the Ultra Z hood but not 100% sure.

Cool

I've seen a Firebird with a late model front end that included the LS1 type filter on a stock core support. I don't know if they modified the support or not.

Unless I bought some hacked up Air intake system, which it was used, I dont know whats wrong.

Its the actually bottom piece that is the bottom of the air lid and the support for the radiator. It just doesnt fit right with the holes. Theres gotta be something up.
