LT1 cooling fans

Hello. let me appologize in advance. im not up to date on computer systems in cars yet. I dont understand all the codes, pcms or chips, and so on. I have a 94 Z28 that runs hot. Ive done everything i know to do. It has a new stock thermostat, fresh coolant, (50/50), new hoses, and good fuses. the problem is the electric fans. I see where everyone says to buy a switch to control them inside, but I would like the car to operate like a stock vehicle. Maybe I need to replace some sensor somewhere? any help would be appreciated.

there has to be 262 of these threads with many solutions. check www.shbox.com site, and do a search on here. cooling issues are as common as the letter E on here.

Re: LT1 cooling fans

What do you consider as "runs hot"? What coolant temps do you see on the gauge at idle in heavy traffic, vs. cruising at 60mph on an open freeway? Have you checked the gauge vs. the coolant temp showing in the PCM?
