I am doing a clutch swap on my 93 Z 6 speed car. The slave cylinder has a thin like limiting cord on it maybe to keep it from moving too far on the clutch fork?

Anyways when I took it off the tranny, that little cord is broken. And the actual needle on the slave cylinder is flopping around.. I have not seen anything like that on previous cars I have worked on.

My question is I probably should replace it, but I went on gmpartsdirect.com and they want 129.00 for the slave master kit, that comes with the fluid reseviour as well ... I just want a slave cylinder but if i have to replace it all , oh well.

anyone have a clutch slave cylinder that is aftermarket? or everyone use stock gm parts?

Is there anyplace to pick up on a little cheaper then that? I can call my buddy on monday at the dealer and see what he can do, but I would pick your guys brains and see what you say. Thanks in advance!!!
