Guys just wondered how bad the wear was on the camshafts in the LT1's as they pile on miles...I've heard a few stories about the lobes getting worn pretty bad...seems like the best way to protect against this is to use a high quality oil like mobile 1. Any suggestions? Seems like some guys show a lot of wear after 150k and others show almost none...???

Mine had almost none, just a little discolored, and that was at 119k

They two stock cams I've removed were in perfect condition with the exception of being slightly discolored. The first one I don't know the miles on, but I ended up selling it to another member on this board. The second one came out of my car at 78K miles and is sitting next to my new engine.
