Why do you ask the "biggest" ? What are you really looking for? Just stuffing the biggest cam you can find into your motor is not the right way to go. Explain what you want, your budget and where you are at, with your car, to this point.

dont put a big block in the car. you can build a helluva LT1 for cheap and it would actually fit and drive properly. biggest cam i would go in a stock LT1 would be along the lines of a GM847, much bigger and you'll be experiencing losses instead of gains. keep in mind, with stock heads, cams much bigger than mid 230's at .05 dur are gonna be choking. also you will need the entire supporting valvetrain. if you just want it to sound nice and add a bit of power, toss in a hotcam kit for 700 bucks, change the timing chain and call it a day. you can even run it on a stock tune. otherwise, toss the biggest cam you can find in it and wish you never did..... bigger is not always better.

I think that the cc306 is to big of a cam with stock heads. You would need to have then ported to get the full potentual out of it. If I were you I would go with the cc503. It is the biggest you would want to go with stock castings and would make good power. What r your goals. Just my 2cents.

Stock heads (unless with a good port job) are going to limit your setup with this cam as the CC306 is probably too big for your setup. Also, keep in mind that you are going to need a good tune as it will run like crap without one. You will probably have losses and not make much power at all!!! Lastly, I don' t know where you live but if you are in an area where there is emission testing/sniffing this cam is hard to get to pass the tailpipe sniffer test and some have said it takes a very good tune to get it to pass. If you have stock internals and programming I'd recc sticking with the GM847, Hotcam or the CC305 as these will give you good power without the problems you will probably have with the CC306. Just my 2 cents.

If you just want the race sound, go with your long tubes, no cats, thru a slp loudmouth. That will make all the noise you want.

You can get good sound out of a smaller cam spec'd well as opposed to all the off the sheft stuff compromised because the manufacturers know customers are going to choose too big.

Far as the big block, driving my car has a friend convinced to take the 502 OUT of his first gen Camaro and put a LT1 in.
