how much is the guy asking for the car? for that many miles i wouldnt spend more than 3500

your best bet is to be patient and check everywhere you can including the for sale section of these forums, ls1.com any other enthusiast message board you can find

good deals pop up all the time, just be patient and keep your money handy, cause they never stay for sale long, i wouldnt pay more than $4,000 for an LT1 camaro with over 120k miles on it

i looked for well over a month for an LT1 fbody, most were in the $5000 - $6500 range with right at 100k miles, but occasionally one poped up for less than $5000 with around 100k miles but i wasnt quick enough

last week i cought an ad on this message board for a Mystic Teal 1995 z28, original owner, garage kept, 101k miles, leather interior, more maintenance records than i ever expected, 35k miles on the trans, for $4,000 had to drive 400+ miles but i picked it up last night, it was worth the wait and drive

gl and hope you decide to look for a better deal

look around man, my bro got his 94 z (a4, t-tops,blk cloth,pw,pl) for $4000 with 136k miles on it. has a few bolt ons and goes 13.2-13.4's on drag radials. still drives like its new, as for maintenence just change oil and put gas in it. every now and then you find you need brakes, wires, spark plugs, window motors, cant think of anything else except the opti.

got mine for $5200/130k miles every option except t-tops, found out i need brakes and replaced my window motors too. not too high maintenence but you need patience, after that enjoy the driving experience.

I am going to try and offer the guy $3500 cash when I see him again for the car if he will take it. He originally wanted $4500-5000 for it. Hope he will bite the bullet and take the cash. It is a VERY clean camaro.

I bought my '95 Z28 that had 145,000 miles on it. It runs great. Although, he had the transmission rebuilt less than a year ago when I bought it.

How much did you pay for it? Was it fully loaded? The tranny was just rebuilt in this one also...

I wouldn't pay anything more than $3000 for it, and that's based on an excellent condition car. Put it this way man, it's a 10/11 year old car already, with 150k miles, and rebuilt motor/tranny. Compared to my '96 Z I paid $6200 out the door from a dealer with only 79k miles, excellent overall condition, clean Carfax, and 100% original, there's great buys out there if you're willing to travel within or greater than 100 miles and have patience. Most importantly is educate yourself on what to look for and you can use that to your advantage in negotiating a good buy.

Good luck!

Almost fully loaded. CD player, Bose system with a sub, 3.23 gears, leather, bucket seats, power everything, cruise control, bla bla bla. $4500. He was asking $5500, but needed the money before Christmas.
