am looking for something a little better than the LT4 hot cam specs for my '96z , i would like to see 50-70 hp increase with shorty headers and 1.6rr's and springs upgrade. I want good driveability,reliability, no head work at this time, not too rough idle, good pull from 30-90mph. And ability to pass emissions fairly easily in Texas. Is this possible?

might wanna take a look at the XE224/230 or possibly CC305. people are running the CC306 and XE230/236 on stock heads too but i dont think you would have fun making them pass emissions.
